ANNE DONNE - JOHN DONNE - DONE

In the golden October of 1601 the season
was for us suddenly over and not at all fun,
as my uncle announced his intent to remarry,
which for us did an unspeakable suffering
through separation's torture carry
and the bad news thou thyself
didst have unto me sent by my uncle to announce,
which did make a jealous
servant before the Archdeacon
our love denounce, and we almost would
not have been standing mentioned as
John Donne-Anne Donne-Done in the shelf.

But before my uncle could send me away to Loseley,
we plighted our eternal troth and thou didst
seal it by letting me prepare for the altar
for our secret wedding ceremony with a cross
a white table cloth.

The Archdeacon insisted that I get by the bishop
secretly confirmed in the Anglican-Catholic tradition,
so that in case my father or my uncle would try
to have our marriage be made in the court
subject to abolition, the law would our status
uphold, and so, whilst I was already away from thee,
which to us both was an unspeakable pain,
but we were determined to go through the fire
and to fulfill once again our souls' burning
as one our holy and eternal destiny.

And so on the early morning of the
Feast of the Immaculate Conception
we had an early mass, in which the Bishop
secretly passed on to me His fiery blessing,
but kept it all in the Catholic rite,
so that my soul did not have to go through
the hell of fire as for that even I would
have put up a fight, no matter the cost
as my creed is loyal only to the Messiah,
not some self-appointed and anointed sire.

I would never at any cost have renounced
my Catholic faith and my belief, but thou
didst reassure me that the old Celtic Catholic
Church until St Chad had the right Canon
law, and so on that condition thou didst rid
me of yet another grief and I gladly agreed
and with conviction again
to join thee at the altar in holy matrimony,
as I then knew that on these principles
and with the true Christ's might thou
didst rightfully draw.

Thou didst write the sweetest lines of thy love's
poetry unceasingly to me:
’Strong is this love which ties our hearts in one,
And strong that love pursued with amorous pain,’
and thou didst for us both lament about our torment:
‘Love’s hot fires, which martyr my sad mind.’ -
as our souls and hearts really felt like they were sent
to the grind, and this was not due to the misery
of November's and early December's early darkness
and constant rain.

Thou werest always the most gifted Master in all matters,
not only in law, and even though our yearning made our hearts
beating for each other with every day faster, the clocks
did seem so slow and I did occupy myself with cooking
and preparing for Christmas many batters,
but the Archdeacon's request almost was for thee
the last annoying straw.
But thou didst defy all and everything that would
have possibly prevented thee from putting
on my finger our simple golden wedding ring.

I still have to smile, how thou didst call in
a favour and a service with loyal friendships'
most endearing and loving flavour.

of deception broke almost a real shell
but brought me safely to church, which
we had to enter without the sound

secretly waiting,
- which did not exactly give him
in my family anymore from then on
a very popular rating;

Christopher [Brooke], who gave me
as the bride away and was almost thrown
for that by my uncle and father
into the devil's pit and moulded
anew from clay.

And poor Samuel, who
for his act of loving-kindness also paid
a high price for blessing as our priest
in the Roman-Catholic Holy Eucharistic low mass
at the altar our wedding feast in an Anglican-
Catholic city church shortly before Christmas,
and a lovely and gentle menial called
Daniel, who had taught me the Our Father in Welsh,
and who had a Magyar ancestor called Kelsh,
even had brought my ivy bridal wreath
that I had made myself decorated with
some dried roses from my room's shelf,
and thou didst tremble in memory of
our eternal vows, that I had always given
with this eternal symbol of our love
as our souls were since Adam and Eve
bound by Abba, Our Heavenly Father,
in heaven above.

Thou werest Adam and I was Eve,
and we were also many others, who are all known
to our beloved fraternity's brothers,
who are also the guardians of thy Most
Holy Mother's shrine of the English
Nazareth, and of all the identities that are mine;
and at one point - I am only
told just now - I was even Elizabeth, so that
I could practice to be the kindest sister
and mother at the same time as Mary
Magdala and as the resurrected and
repentant Eve, who is now again awaiting
the return, for which not only me but the whole holy
family by now doth so yearn!

Even our daughter Constance, who has like her
sisters and brothers been attacked by Satan many times
and been led to the slaughter is starting
to remember and is coming finally also joining us
in December. If thou couldst only see them
glow in their faith and their devotion
and ever so kind to their mother,
but they also need their father now
as only together under thee and thy brothers'
episcopal leadership will we be able
to claim victory over the golden cow,
and I pray that thou hasteth started
with thy ancient ship up the Lower Thames
to row.

THY LOVING WIFE ANNE,
WHO HAS AWAKENED ONCE AGAIN
TO SPEND FOR THE LAST TIME
ON EARTH AT THY SIDE HER LIFE,
AND READY FOR THEE ALWAYS
ARE MY CONSECRATED CUP AND
CHURCH BELLS.

BUT BEFORE WE LEAVE AGAIN THE EARTH
WE TEACH TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION
WITH OUR UTMOST LOVE, DEVOTION AND
DEDICATION THAT THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM
ON EARTH STARTS FROM THE MOST LOVING
AND HOLY FAMILY HOME, FROM OUR OWN
KITCHEN HEARTH, AND OF COURSE, FOR
THE HOLY EUCHARIST, IT WOULD BE
NICE ALSO TO HAVE THE CONTINUATION
IN MANY A CHURCH WITHOUT THE DEVIL
IN THE LURCH AND IN A DOME.

AND THEN WE SHALL JUST FLOAT AROUND
AS THE MOST OFTEN SEPARATED BUT
EVERMORE FULFILLINGLY BLESSED
MARRIED COUPLE FOR ETERNITY.
EVEN IN HEAVEN WE HUG AND KISS AND REJOICE
AT GOD'S FOR US MOST WONDERFUL CHOICE
THAT HE JOINED US FOREVERMORE EVEN IN
THE UNSEEN WORLD AS HUSBAND AND WIFE
AND THAT IS FOR ETERNAL LIFE - AND WHO
KNOWS, ONE DAY WE SHALL EVEN ADD
CHURCH BELLS TO BIG BEN.

AS WE ALWAYS AND STILL PRAY FOR THE
CONVERSION OF ENGLAND AS OUR LADY
OF WALSINGHAM'S DOWRY THAT SHE
HAS NOW HANDED OVER TO ME TO
TAKE OF IT THE UTMOST LOVING AND
TENDER CARE, AS SHE ALWAYS WANTED
HER SON TO BE HAPPY IN HOLY MATRIMONY
AND THINKS ALSO HE IS A BIT TOO OLD,
TO COME BACK TO HIS MOTHER AS NOWADAYS
THAT WOULD BE REGARDED BY SOCIETY
AS SOMEWHAT AWKWARD - A GROWN MAN
SUCKING HIS MOTHER'S BREASTS - NOT REALLY!

AS GOD'S HOLY NATION NEEDS NOW
IN ORDER IN THE RIGHT SPIRIT TO GROW
A ROLE MODEL OF THE HOLY FAMILY
THAT CONSISTS OF A FATHER, A MOTHER
AND THE REST OF THE HOLY FAMILY
TO TEACH SOCIETY TO BE TO EACH OTHER
NEXT OF KIN, AND FREE OF SIN AGAINST
THEIR SISTER, BROTHER, NEIGHBOUR,
FATHER OR MOTHER.

IT MIGHT BE HARD LABOUR,
BUT THEN WE ARE ALL IN EACH OTHER'S
MOST LOVING CARE AS THAT IS
GOD'S IDEA AND THAT OF JESUS,
TO SERVE HIM AND TO GIVE THEM THANKS,
AND THAT INCLUDES HAVING ONE MISSUS,
IN HOLY MATRIMONY OR TO LIVE IN
CELIBACY.

BOTH ARE A GIFT OF GOD, AND IF WE TEACH
ALL SOULS TO BE HOLY AGAIN, THEN SOON
WILL FILL UP THE CHURCHES ALL OVER
THE COUNTRY, INCLUDING THE ONES
THAT CAME AFTER THE GREAT FIRE
THAT WERE BUILT BY SIR CHRISTOPHER WREN,
AND NOW I LET THE COCK HIMSELF CROW
FOR MY BELOVED'S OWN RETURN,
AND LADY CHATTERBOX SHUTS UP,
LEST SHE BE CALLED BY HIM FOR DUTY
AS HIS ETERNAL HEN - OH, HOW I YEARN
FOR THEE, MY BELOVED ETERNAL SPOUSE
