A TRIP ON THE BUS IN EAST LONDON - Thought of the Day by Mother Ziggy Agocsi

A TRIP ON THE BUS
IN EAST LONDON -

Thought of the Day

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

I pray that your New Year has started also in the spirit of renewal and purification and
of course, of love! Today was already a mild day here in London and I could hear the birds
also cheering. I wish you a wonderful year ahead in health, love and carried by the love and
grace of God.

I would like to share a very moving incident from today with you that my daughter and me
witnessed on our trip back on the bus from buying a new winter coat for her as she has outgrown
all her previous ones. These kind of stories does only life write so beautifully as they cannot
be planned, except by God to involve the nobility and kindness of heart and soul of all, who were
on this bus. An old Indian lady entered the bus and gestured with her hands and a plastic bag that
she would like to stay but did not know, where she was or where to go. That is what we thought!
As she did not speak any English everybody tried to be helpful to her and to the kind and caring
bus driver. People asked her, whether she knew, where she was living and she signed a 'no'.
So, we were worried that she was confused and might suffer from Alzheimer or another condition that
would make it impossible for her to find back to her area, if the driver took her with us on the bus.

So, after ten minutes at this bus stop, an Irish and a Jamaican lady came on the bus, who knew
her from the neighbouring estate, and they suggested to look into the plastic bag as nobody could
speak in the old lady's tongue. They found a prescription from the doctor's and she confirmed that
this was her address and the bus driver gave his private mobile phone to one of the ladies to call the number on the prescription - and somebody of her family answered and was asked to pick her up from the next bus stop. So, after twenty minutes we went off to the next bus stop.
What was so beautiful about this situation was, that everybody was simply concerned for the well-being
of this old lady, who had gone lost in her neighbourhood. Nobody complained about the wait and was
only interested in her safety.

So, at the next bus stop her family came and she almost refused to go off the bus - and then she was able
to explain to us with the help of her family that she had lost something on another bus and wanted to ask the driver, whether it had been found and possibly been brought to the garage. But she also had slipped out from home without telling anybody, and she has indeed a condition that needs her to be with somebody all the time. She finally went off the bus with her family and the Jamaican lady called out: 'Hallelujah, thanks be to God.' And all applauded in relief and gratitude that this lady from the neighbourhood was safe.
Many possible solutions were offered in the kindest and helpful ways and people were awakening
as champions in this situation.

This area is usually described as cold, hostile, socially deprived and violent - and most souls on this bus
might have been poor in a material sense but certainly not deprived of their love and care for their neighbour in need. And I give thanks and praise to God for their selflessness and love and all agreed, when I said, that it was only by the grace of God that we were not in this situation, and that I pray that if we ever should be, somebody would do the same for us.

The kingdom of God is near. It is in each and everyone of us.
And for that I give all honour and glory and thanks to God and Jesus.

May the Infinite Light of God shine brightly upon you, keep and protect you from all evil, harm and anxiety and fill your very heart and soul with Jesus' brotherly love.

God bless you!
